SHS Announcements Week of May 20

Take a peek at our announcements for the week of May 20th . . .

Food Policy - As a friendly reminder...please be aware that the policy for outside food has not changed. Students are not allowed to order from Door Dash, Uber Eats, or any other food delivery service. This also includes orders made by family members. Any concerns or questions can be handled through your AP's office. Thank you.

Free Audiobooks - Want free books this summer? Come by the library to learn about a summer program called SYNC. SYNC will give away 2 free audiobooks a week from April 25 - August 1. You can talk to Mrs. Tahaney in the library or visit 
TCC Textbooks - All TCC students need to return their TCC books to Mrs. Dean in the K hall office by 5/15/19. Fee will be assessed if the books are not returned by 5/15/19.

Backpack Policy This Week - Students, this friday, May 17th will be the last day you will be allowed to bring a backpack to school….this includes String Backs and large oversized Purses.  All backpacks brought to school next week will be taken up by teachers or administrators.

Library Books - All library books should be returned to the library ASAP.  See Mrs. Tahaney for details.
Summer RegistrationStudents, Summer School registration is now open. Visit the MISD home page for summer school information and registration. Your counselor can help you by advising you what course you should take during summer school. If you are interested in summer school, it is your responsibility to get registered.

Special Olympics Accolades - Congratulations to Robin and Rashad Jones for winning a gold medal in Special Olympics basketball this past Saturday. Thank you for positively representing Summit HS and Mansfield ISD.

Library Scavenger Hunt - The library has one last scavenger hunt for the year. Come by the library and pick one up today. Prizes are involved. Happy Reading!

Library Hours this Week - The library will have limited hours this week. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the library will be open before school, during lunch, and after school. On Thursday, the library will be open before school and during lunch.

Graduation Practice - Good morning seniors. Graduation rehearsal begins at 3:10pm on Tuesday (5/21) This means you need to be in the PE gym and find your assigned seat for graduation by 3:10pm. Please make sure that you are on time so that we may begin on time and release you in a timely manner. Seniors if you have a last block class on campus please report immediately to the PE gym once the bell rings.

Cross Country InfoAnyone interested in running Cross Country next fall must attend an informational meeting, Wednesday, after school @ 3:05 in Room E2! Any male or female who wants to run Cross Country for 2019 must attend.

Final Exams - All B Day exams will be on May 21st.  All A Day exams will be on May 23rd.

2019 Graduation - Graduation will be on May 24th at 9:30am at The MISD Center of Performing Arts.  Summit students will need to meet at Summit High School in the PE Gym by 6:30am dressed in graduation attire.  Contact Mr. Peters in the academic office if you have any questions.
